Jesuit Missions of La Santísima Trinidad de Paraná and Jesús de Tavarangue are part of a series of 30 missions in the Río de la Plata basin established by the the Jesuits during the 17th and 18th centuries. Panteón de los Héroes, Asunción, Paraguay

Paraguay is a landlocked country in South America. It is bordered by Argentina to the south and southwest, Brazil to the east and northeast, and Bolivia to the northwest.

Asunción is the capital and largest city of Paraguay.

The Panteon Nacional De Los Heroes is dedicated to the country’s history. It serves as a monument for those who gave their live for the country.

In front of the Pantheon you see the  Guarani vendors. These vendors open their stalls in the early morning only to close theirs at the setting of the sun. Their stalls are full of the Paraguayan traditional items of art like bows and arrows, headdresses, pottery and many others.

The Paraguay River (Río Paraguay in Spanish) is a major river in south central South America, running through Brazil, Bolivia, Paraguay and Argentina. It flows approximately 2,549 kilometers from its headwaters in the Brazilian state of Mato Grosso to its confluence with the Parana River north of Corrientes. It divides Paraguay into two regions, the oriental and the occidental.
