The 61st edition of the Eurovision Song Contest took place in Stockholm, following Sweden's victory at the 2015 contest in Vienna.

Old Town of Stockholm, Sweden

Stockholm is the capital and most populous city of Sweden, spreading out over 14 islands in Lake Mälaren and looks out to the Baltic Sea to the east.

Old Town (Gamla Stan) is the Stockholm’s original city centre. It dates back to the 13th century but most buildings are from the 17- and 1800s. It’s a labyrinth of charming cobbled streets, alleyways, faded mustard and rust coloured town houses and meeting squares reflecting north German architecture.

TGOJ Yoa 202 (X21) Eskiltuna, Sweden

X20, X21, X22 and X23 is a series of two to four car electric multiple units operated by Trafikaktiebolaget Grängesberg-Oxelösunds Järnvägar (TGOJ) of Sweden.
It takes approximately one hour by train from Stockholm Central to Eskilstuna.

A bridge between Sweden and Denmark: Oresundsbron

The Øresund Link is a bridge tunnel connecting Sweden to Denmark, which was opened in 2000. The opening of the Øresund Bridge meant that a journey across the water could be undertaken in one day. it is the longest road and rail bridge in Europe.

The history of the Swedish flag extends five hundred years back in time. It is believed to have been inspired by the Danish flag, Dannebrogen. The colors were taken from Sweden's small coat of arms, three golden crowns on a blue background.
