The Shore Temple (built in 700–728 AD) overlooks the shore of the Bay of Bengal, hence its name. It is a structural temple, built with blocks of granite, dating from the 8th century AD.

The temple is part of the Unesco World Heritage site Group of Monuments at Mahabalipuram.

Built more than 3,000 years ago, to honor Pharaoh Rameses II and his queen Nefertari. The site was moves completely in the early 60’s because it was threatened by the construction of the Aswan Dam.

My Son Sanctuary Viet Nam

Mỹ Sơn is a cluster of abandoned and partially ruined Hindu temples constructed between the 4th and the 14th century AD by the kings of Champa. The temples are dedicated to the worship of the god Shiva.

The Mỹ Sơn Sanctuary is a large complex of religious monuments originally consisting of more than 70 structures of which 25 remain today. My Son was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999.

Luang Prabang, meaning "Royal Buddha Image”, is a city located in north central Laos. The city is well known for its numerous Buddhist temples and monasteries. Until the communist takeover in 1975, it was the royal capital and seat of government of the Kingdom of Laos. It was added to the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites in 1995.

Bulguksa Temple | 불국사 South Korea

Bulguksa Temple, meaning "Temple of the Buddha Land" is a Buddhist temple in the North Gyeongsang province of South Korea. The temple was built in 528 during the Silla Kingdom. Once the wooden buildings completely burnt down to the ground. Although much-restored, it is still an important example of Silla architecture and is home to no less than seven Korean national treasures.

In 1995, Bulguksa was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List together with the Seokguram Grotto, which is located four kilometers to the east.

Borobudur is a 9th-century Buddhist Temple in central Java, Indonesia. The temple compounds is one of the greatest Buddhist monuments in the world. The monument is the single most visited tourist attraction in Indonesia.

For centuries the site lay forgotten, buried under layers of volcanic ash and jungle growth. In 1815 Europeans cleared the site. In the early 1900's the Dutch started its restoration. Completed in 1982 with help of Unesco.

The temple is part of the Unesco WHS, inscribed as “The Historic Monuments of Ancient Kyoto (Kyoto, Uji and Otsu Cities)”. This site consist of seventeen parts that are situated in Kyoto and surroundings.

Seoul is the capital and largest metropolis of South Korea, a megacity with over 10 million inhabitants.

Changdeokgung is one of the "Five Grand Palaces" built by the kings of the Joseon Dynasty (1392–1897). Gyeonghoeru (Pavilion of Joyous Meeting) is the oldest and most famous of Gyeongbokgung's pavilions.

It was used as a royal banquet hall during the Joseon dynasty. This two story pavilion was built in 1412, burned down by the Japanese in 1592, and reconstructed in 1867.

Swayambhunath Stupa | The Monkey Temple, Kathmandu

A stupa, literally meaning "heap", is a mound-like or semi-hemispherical structure containing Buddhist relics, typically the ashes of Buddhist monks, used by Buddhists as a place of meditation.

Swayambhunath stupa is located atop of a hill in the Kathmandu Valley, near Kathmandu city, capital of Nepal. It is also called the `Monkey Temple' because of the many hundreds of (sacred) monkeys who scamper about the temple at night after the pilgrims and priests have departed.

The stupa has Buddha's eyes and eyebrows painted on. Between them, there is something painted which looks like the nose - but is the Nepali symbol of 'unity', in the main Nepali language dialect.

Sofukuji Temple in Nagasaki | 長崎

Nagasaki is the capital of Nagasaki prefecture on the island of Kyushu, Japan.

This temple dates back to 1629 and was established by several important Chinese Buddhist monks who were escaping persecution by the Ming rulers in China.

They fled to the Chinese community in Nagasaki Japan and established the Obaku school of Zen Buddhism in Nagasaki.

Kaungh Mu Daw Pagoda from Myanmar

The Kaungh Mu Daw Pagoda is a large pagoda on the northwestern outskirts of Sagaing in central Myanmar (Burma). It is known for its egg-shaped design, which stands out among more traditional-style, pyramid-shaped Burmese pagodas.

The enormous dome rises 46 m (151 feet) in the shape of a perfect hemisphere and was modeled after the Maha Zeti Pagoda in Ceylon.

Yangon, also known as Rangoon,  is a former capital of Burma. In 1989, the military government officially changed the English translations of many colonial-era names; among these changes was the alteration of the name of the country from "Burma" to "Myanmar".  The capital is now Naypyidaw.

The Sule Pagoda is located in the heart of Yangon. A pagoda, in Southeast Asia, is a cone-shaped monumental structure built in memory of Buddha.
