Mantenga Cultural Village | Swaziland

Mantenga is a small protected area of 725 hectares in a secluded corner of the Ezulwini Valley in Swaziland. The reserve is home to the Mantenga Cultural Village, a living museum of old traditions and represents a classical Swazi lifestyle during the 1850s.

Mbabane, capital city of Swaziland

Mbabane is the capital and largest city in Swaziland. The city is named after an African Chief, Mbabane Kunene, who lived in the region when British settlers arrived in the late 19th century.
 
With a population of about 95,000, Mbabane is one of the least-populous capitals in Africa.

King Mswati III of Swaziland

The Kingdom of Swaziland is a landlocked country, located between South Africa and Mozambique. Makhosetive was crowned Mswati III - King of Swaziland on 25th April 1986 at the age of 18. He thus became the youngest ruling monarch in the world.

Mswati III of Swaziland was born on the 19th April 1968 as the second of 67 sons of the elderly King Sobhuza II, and the only child of Queen Ntombi Tfwala, one of the kings 70 wives. Mswati III currently has 27 children from his first 13 wives and wives-to-be.

A postcard from the Kingdom of Swaziland

Swaziland is located in in Southern Africa and is bordered for the most part by South Africa and to the northeast by Mozambique. Swaziland is one of the smallest countries in Africa. It is no more than 200 kilometres by 130 kilometres.

The king of Swaziland, Mswati III, currently has 27 children from his first 13 wives and wives-to-be.
