Estancia Santa Catalina, Argentina

Santa Catalina is known for his church, an example of colonial baroque in Argentina, clearly influenced by central European architecture in the same style.

In the ancient lands of the Old Calabalumba, the Society of Jesus purchased four 1500 pesos Estancia Santa Catalina, by that time, comprised some poor buildings and many heads of cattle. The largest of all Jesuit estancias, Santa Catalina was founded in 1622.
