The Bahamas is an island country consisting of more than 700 islands, cays, and islets in the Atlantic Ocean.
Long Island is one of those islands. It earned its name because a seafarer felt it took too long to sail past the island. After all, it is about 130 kilometers long and 6 km wide at its broadest point. The island has a population of about 3,000.
Dean's Blue Hole is the world's deepest underwater sinkhole, dropping to a depth of about 200 meters.
